Chainsaw Refresher in Maintenance, Cross-Cutting & Felling of Trees up to 380 mm diameter – 2 Days. Next course early 2021.

This LANTRA run refresher training course aims to refresh trainees’ knowledge, understanding and basic skills in the operation and maintenance of petrol driven chainsaws along with the skills required for felling of trees up to 380 mm in diameter. It re-introduces trainees to the hazards and risks involved with operating a chainsaw and to comply with health and safety legislation. The length of refresher training is two days which covers a mix of both theory, workshop and practical elements of cross-cutting and felling in a woodland site. We provide LANTRA course materials & Certification. We recommend refresher training be undertaken every 3-5 years.

TRAINEES MUST HOLD A QUALIFICATION (City & Guilds or LANTRA) IN MAINTENANCE, CROSS-CUTTING & FELLING OF TREES 380 mm DIAMETER in order to undergo refresher training.

This LANTRA run training course aims to give trainees knowledge, understanding and skills in the operation of petrol driven chainsaws required for felling of trees up to 380 mm in diameter. It introduces trainees to the hazards and risks involved with operating a chainsaw and to comply with health and safety legislation. The length of training is three days which covers practical elements in woodland sites with a half day assessment taken on a 4th day, usually on the Monday or Tuesday of the following week. We provide LANTRA course materials & Certification followed by City & Guilds NPTC Qualification.

We recommend refresher training be undertaken every 3-5 years.
