PA4 (G) Granular Applicator – Half a Day – Next course date: 27th March 2020.
Next course dates: 27th March 2020 with City & Guilds assessment to follow.
This half day PA4G Granular Applicator training course takes place partly in a classroom environment and partly outdoors. The first part of the day’s training looks at PPE, Product Labels and the workings of the Granular Applicator. Our very experienced Instructor provides his own workbooks for you to take away and product labels to study. The practical element of the course takes the trainees outside where the Granular Applicator is inspected and training given on how it works. The applicator will then be filled with dummy granules (e.g. dummy Avadex granules) and an area used in a nearby yard to demonstrate its operation. Each trainee will get to use the applicator under the supervision of the Instructor. (No real Granular chemicals are used on the training day!)
Some of the topics covered are as follows:
- Product Labels
- Calibration of the Granular Applicator
- Environmental management
- Handling of the Chemical granules
- Record keeping
- Personal Protective Equipment
Following the training day, our Lincolnshire Assessment Centre will contact each trainee to arrange a City & Guilds assessment at their own premises on their own Granular Applicator. Once the assessment is successfully completed then a Skills ID Card will be issued showing all the City & Guilds units which have been attained to date.
