Safe Use of Aluminium Phosphide for Vertebrate Control – 1 Day

Safe Use of Aluminium Phosphide for Vertebrate Control – 1 Day

This 1 day Safe Use of Aluminium Phosphide training course takes place mainly in a classroom environment and partly outdoors. The first part of the day’s training looks at PPE, the Aluminium Phosphide Applicator along with some dummy pellets for the gun applicator.  Our very experienced Instructor provides his own workbooks for you to take away and study.  The practical element of the course takes the trainees outside where some mole hills or rabbit holes are inspected and training given on how to apply the gassing tablets.  Each trainee will get to use the applicator under the supervision of the Instructor. (No live chemicals are used on the training day!)

Some of the topics covered are as follows:

  • Product Labels
  • Applicator inspection
  • Environmental management
  • Handling of Chemicals
  • Record keeping
  • Personal Protective Equipment

Following the training day, our Lincolnshire Assessment Centre will contact each trainee to arrange a City & Guilds assessment at their own premises on their own sprayer.  Once the assessment is successfully completed then a Skills ID Card will be issued showing all the City & Guilds units which have been attained to date.  Alternatively a LANTRA Assessment can be arranged should that be a preferred option.

All refreshments and lunch is supplied on this course.
